North Notts LGB Development Group

A group made up of representatives of various Nottinghamshire LGB voluntary and statutory organisations and individuals who are working for improvements for LGB people in Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire Lesbian and Gay Switchboard

Has provided information and support to LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) people in and around Nottinghamshire since 1975.  Information on social groups, support groups, services, accommodation, legal issues, police liaison, TV/TS, HIV/AIDS, safer sex, “coming out”, publications or just someone to talk to.

Gay Family Routes

North Nottinghamshire organisation providing support for parents and friends of lesbians and gay men.

North Nottinghamshire Outreach Project

A service fro gay and bisexual men and “men who have sex with men”.  Provides information and support on safer sex and coming out, condoms/lube, support group, HIV/AIDS information, one to one advice in crisis situations, outreach services, training and awareness for local agencies.  Drop in facility every Thursday 1-6pm.  For more information or to arrange an appointment outside of the above times please contact the telephone number below.

Positive Links Support (Mansfield/Ashfield)

Offers practical support in the Mansfield and Ashfield area to people with HIV/AIDS or hepatitis C and also to their friends, families and carers.  The phone may not always be answered in person, if you leave a message someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

FLAME - (Lesbians with ME)

Group for lesbians suffering from ME/chronic fatigue syndrome.  Provide a confidential, safe and supportive space for lesbians to give and receive positive support around living with ME/CFS, and also opportunities to meet socially.  Meet monthly.
