Xmas factor competition
Xmas Factor 2007 Xmas Factor 2007 was held on Tuesday 18th December at Bonington Theatre Arnold. Through a tough selection process floods of applicants had been reduced to just six gifted acts. Celebrity Guests This year Eton Road were the guest celebrities at Xmas Factor. Eton Road first came to prominence on the X Factor in 2006, and they reached the final 5 in the competition. Eton Road are David Heath, James Edwards, Daniel Morris and new band member Markus Collins. New for 2007 - Xmas Factor Boot Camp
Young People in Nottinghamshire got into the festive spirit early this year when they attended The Xmas Factor Bootcamp, which was held on 26th October at the Old Library.
Young People worked with industry specialists from County Youth Arts to create dance, drama, song and rap performances highlighting messages about the following:
All of the performances were fantastic and of a very high standard. It has been an extremely hard task for the judges to select 6 entries from the bootcamp and from individual entries to go forward to the Xmas Factor Competition.

Xmas Factor is a popular event which has been run by the Nottinghamshire Teenage Pregnancy Team since 2005. For the first two years young people were invited to write and perform songs that gave a strong delay message. The young people were encouraged to perform the songs to the tune of well know Christmas songs.
In 2007 the competition changed slightly and the Xmas Factor Boot Camp was created this was a chance for young people to work with the County Youth Arts Team to create dance, drama, song and rap performances highlighting respect, peer pressure, the delay message and STIs.
Each year finalists are invited to perform in front of a live audience at the Xmas Factor event and a winner is chosen by a panel of judges. It is also tradition that a celebrity guest makes an appearance at the event.
