Environment Action Committee

Do you know that your school could help to change the world we live in for the better?

Eco-Schools is an organisation that aims to reduce the effect our schools have on the world around us, such as:

  • less litter,
  • more education about saving wildlife,
  • what affects the environment in which we live.

These are benefits any school would love to have.

Details can be found at www.eco-schools.org.uk

The whole of the school, students and staff, will be encouraged to do things to help, especially recycling, which is something that can be easily carried out and will further help the environment. This action will teach everyone that we only have one earth; we need to help it now!

A group of young people from across Nottinghamshire have set up a committee whose aim is to revolutionize each individual school’s outlook concerning the environment by using the criteria put in place by Eco Schools. The group are hoping to get as many young people as possible to support this campaign, as well as taking an active part.

With support from the Nottinghamshire County Council Youth Service, County Councillors, departments and other interested parties, this committee is establishing itself fast and any support gained, however small, makes the future aims of the committee come well within reach. The determination and passion of the members of this campaign are looking to help shape the outlook of schools in the county of Nottinghamshire for many years to come.
