One of the distinctive contributions of youth work is to help young people to have more control over their lives. Whether it's about the running of their own lubs and projects or having much wider influence over public services, youth work plays a key role in enabling young people to make a contribution. All youth organisations are invited to use Youth Worker Week 2008 to reflect on, celebrate and to further develop the way in which they help young people to use their voices and exercise influence.
