Infozone - leaving care
If you are leaving care or have recently left care, we can help you to become independent. If you've already left, you must have been in care after your 16th birthday to qualify for our services.
If you're planning to leave care, your social worker, carers, and others will be talking to you about your Pathway Plan, and helping you to work out what happens next and what support you need.
If you've already left care, the amount of help will depend on
- when you left care
- how long you spent in care
- how old you are now
- what you need.
We can help you with many areas of your life, including giving you personal support, financial support and education and work support.
If you have recently left care and are unsure who to contact to get these services, contact your local Children and Young People's Services office.
