The Counselling and Mediation Team offers help with any problem

• A free and confidential counselling service for young people aged 11 - 25
• Male and female counsellors who are trained to listen and treat you as an individual with respect
• Counsellors who will give you time, support and listen to your problems and who will assist you to find your own solutions.

1. Offer an assessment by appointment - so ring us or email to arrange an initial appointment
2. Meet you where you are if possible - we are at several locations within the county of Nottinghamshire
3. Give you information during the first appointment about our counselling service and what we can offer
4. If counselling is offered, then you will work with the same person every week for as long as it takes
5. Each counselling session is for 50 minutes at the same time in the same place
6. Daytime, evening and Saturday appointments are possible.

This means that when you talk with your counsellor, what you say is private between you and your counsellor and not shared with anyone else. However there are some exceptions that cannot be kept private and this will be fully discussed with you during the assessment prior to beginning counselling.
