How to pre-order a church marriage certificate
If you are getting married in a church in Nottinghamshire (excluding Nottingham City), please pre-order and pay for your first marriage certificate(s) via our online form. The earliest you can pre-order is two weeks prior to the ceremony taking place. Within 21 days after you are married, the church will confirm to us that your marriage has taken place.
Your certificate will be posted to you within 7 working days of that confirmation being received, as long as payment has also already been made.
If you are getting married or having a civil partnership at one of our registration offices or approved premises you need to pre-order your certificate by visiting our civil ceremony payments page or alternatively contacting our Customer Service Team.
You will need
- Full name of both partners
- Date of ceremony
- Name and address of church
- Your contact details and address
- Your payment details - certificates cost £11 each
What will happen next
You will receive an email confirmation that your request has been sent. We will contact you if we need further information.
