Pedestrian and bicycle access

If there is a queue of traffic waiting to use a recycling centre you cannot park outside and walk waste onto a site.

If you use a mobility scooter or if you do not own a motor vehicle, it may be possible for us to arrange a safe time and day for you to visit on foot or bicycle. Please contact our customer service centre about this.

Disabled access

If you have a disability you may find our sites with no steps or elevated ramps easier to use. These are indicated in the details for each recycling centre. However, site staff will be happy to help you at any of our centres. Please drive as close as you can to the right skip and make yourself known to a member of staff.

If you have specific mobility needs and require assistance, call Veolia Environmental Services on 0203 5674370 to discuss your requirements.

Assistance

Staff at our recycling centres are happy to provide assistance with disposing of your waste or by pointing you in the right direction, but weekends and early evenings can become very busy so if you need help you may wish to visit on a weekday instead.

If you have large or awkward items, the staff may be able to help you unload your vehicle but they have the right to refuse to do so if the load is too heavy to move safely. Your local district/borough council can provide a bulky waste collection for a small fee. Alternatively you could request that the retailer 'take back' your old item if you are purchasing a replacement.
