It's getting to that time of year again and some papers are already predicting that the first snowfalls of the season are expected to hit our region in the next few days.
With this in mind the link below contains some handy tips on driving in wintry conditions, as well as guidance on some useful essentials to take with you if really do have to make that journey.

Basssetlaw Action Centre, Tuxford Dial-a-Trip and Newark's Door2Door are the latest Voluntary Car Schemes to be able to provide a Car Scheme Plus service.
Using three Peugeot Expert Tepee MPVs, specially converted by Constables Mobility, they are able to transport a single wheelchair user and up to four passengers.
Two of the vehicles are also equiped with electric winches and Turny swing out front passenger seats.
Car Scheme Plus is primarily for wheelchair users who do not have access to, or are unable to use due to mobility difficulties, public transport and users must be registered with the appropriate scheme in their area to be able to use it.
These vehicles complement those introduced in 2012 in Broxtowe and by Our Centre in the Mansfield/Ashfield area earlier in 2013.
