Bus Service Changes August 2014

Following extensive consultation with County Councillors, local communities, passenger surveys and a series of road shows, a County wide revision of local authority funded bus services becomes effective from 4 August 2014.

Revised Timetables

Ashfield

Service 2 will be withdrawn. A new Service 402 will be introduced linking Underwood, Jacksdale and Selston. The circular route will operate every two hours in a clockwise direction and on the alternate hour in an anti-clockwise direction. The service which will be operated by Nottinghamshire County Council fleet vehicles will operate Mondays to Fridays.

Service 17 will be withdrawn and elements of the route replaced with other services:

  • Mansfield to Forest Town via Barringer Road service 210, hourly operated by Stagecoach
  • Mansfield to Rannoch Drive service 217, two journeys a day operated by Stagecoach
  • Sutton to Skegby/Ashland Road service 417, hourly operated by NCC fleet.

Service 145 will be withdrawn. The areas of Sutton in Ashfield currently served by the 145 will be included in the new Town Service 417 to be operated by NCC fleet. New Services 445B and 445C will operate to a revised timetable and route between Rainworth and Kirkby in Ashfield on Mondays only. These services will be operated by Ravenshead Community Transport.

Summary

  • 402 Underwood - Jacksdale - Selston - Underwood
  • 417 Sutton Town Service
  • 445B Rainworth - Blidworth - Ravenshead
  • 445C Ravenshead - Kirkby in Ashfield

Bassetlaw

Service 8 the current off peak service between Kilton and Sainsburys operated by TM Travel will cease. A replacement service numbered 108 and operated by NCC fleet vehicles will be introduced covering all points currently served by Service 8 and to a slightly enhanced timetable..

Services 27a/30 and 30a will be withdrawn. A new service numbered 127 will operate on a Monday to Friday to a basic hourly frequency giving a direct link between Harworth, Sandrock Road and Bawtry with extensions to Misson or Mattersey Thorpe. The new fixed timetable removes the necessity for passengers to pre-book journeys. The route between Bawtry and Robin Hood Airport will be discontinued. The route between Bawtry, Harworth and Blyth will continue to be served by Stagecoach Service 29.

Services 34/44/83 will be withdrawn. In most cases journeys can be made using alternative services.

Services 89 and 90 will be withdrawn and replaced by a new service 190. This will be provided by Gem Mini Coaches. Peak time journeys will operate to a fixed timetable. However during the middle of the day passengers wishing to access the service will be required to pre book by phone giving at least 2 hours' notice of their intention to travel.

Service 95a, the current peak time service operated by TM Travel will be re-numbered 195 and provided by Gem Mini Travel.

Service 9, the current service provided by Stagecoach will be revised to operate every 2 hours. The new service will be re-numbered 209 and will operate the current Service 9 route between Worksop and Warsop. The service will then continue through to Edwinstowe covering the current Service 10 route between Warsop and Edwinstowe.

Summary

  • 108 Kilton - Worksop - Sainsburys
  • 127 Harworth - Bawtry - Misson/Mattersey Thorpe
  • 190 Tuxford - East Bassetlaw Villages - Retford
  • 195 Retford - North Wheatley - Gainsborough
  • 209 Worksop - Warsop - Edwinstowe

Broxtowe

Service 110 will be replaced by new Service 510. During the off peak the service will extend from Attenborough to Beeston.

Service 111 will become part of the new Service 510. The frequency will become hourly and the route through Stapleford revised so as to provide a cross town facility . The revised route will also serve the new Toton Park and Ride site when open so as to afford connections with the tram.

Service 331 will be replaced by new Service 531

Service 332 will be withdrawn. A new off peak Service 532 will be introduced linking Moorgreen and Watnall with Kimberley where connections can be made with the commercial network.

Summary

  • 510 Beeston - Attenborough - Toton - Stapleford
  • 531 Selston - Underwood - Moorgreen - Phoenix Park
  • 532 Moorgreen - Watnall - Kimberley - IKEA Retail Park

Gedling

Service 5 will be withdrawn. A new Service 705 will provide an off peak service between Burton Joyce, Stoke Bardolph and Netherfield. This service will be operated by Nottingham Community Transport.

Service 47 route and timetable will be revised so as to include those parts of Woodborough, Calverton and Oxton currently included on the Service 5 route. The section of route between Lowdham and Gunthorpe will be replaced by a Shopper Service 856 on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Service 47 will continue to be operated by Nottingham City Transport.

Service 72 will be replaced by a commercial service operated by Nottingham Minibus.

Service 73 will be replaced by a commercial service operated by Nottingham Minibus.

Service 73A will be replaced by commercial services 72 and 73 operated by Nottingham Minibus.

Service 74 will be withdrawn. However Carlton Valley will be served by a new off peak Service L74 and will be provided by Nottingham Community Transport.

Service 228 will be replaced by a new two hourly service between Hucknall, Bestwood and Bulwell. The new service will numbered 728 and operated by Littles Transport.

Summary

  • 47 Nottingham - Mapperley - Calverton - Lowdham
  • 72 Netherfield - Gedling - Mapperley - Sneinton
  • 73 Netherfield - Gedling - Mapperley - Sneinton
  • L74 Netherfield - Carlton Valley
  • 705 Netherfield - Stoke Bardolph - Burton Joyce
  • 728 Hucknall - Bestwood - Bulwell - Assarts Farm

Mansfield

Service 4, the current off peak service between Mansfield and Woodhouse, Worcester Avenue will be replaced by a new hourly service 204 and will operate via Debdale Lane .Vehicles operated by Stagecoach and NCC fleet will provide the service.

Service 10, the current service operated by Stagecoach will be withdrawn. A new Service 209 will operate between Edwinstowe and Warsop and will continue to Worksop via the current Service 9 route. Passengers to and from Mansfield should connect at Warsop and travel on Stagecoach Services 11 or 12. The area surrounding Peafield Lane and Litton Road will be served by a new Service 210 which will operate hourly to Mansfield and will also serve Forest Town ASDA and Barringer Road. This service will be operated by Stagecoach.

Service 17 will be withdrawn and elements of the route replaced with other services:-

  • Mansfield to Forest Town via Barringer Road Service 210, hourly operated by Stagecoach
  • Mansfield to Rannoch Drive Service 217, two journeys a day operated by Stagecoach
  • Sutton to Skegby/Ashland Road Service 417, operated hourly by NCC fleet.

Service 18 will be re numbered 218 and operated by Stagecoach and Nottinghamshire County Council vehicles. The frequency will remain hourly with variations to the route in the Berry Hill Area.

Service 19 will be re numbered 219 and operated by Stagecoach and Nottinghamshire County Council vehicles. There will be three journeys a day Monday to Saturday with variations to the route in the Berry Hill Area. Together Services 218 and 219 will serve all parts of Berry Hill Estate that are currently served by the 18 and 19 routes.

  • 204 Mansfield - Debdale Lane - Mansfield Woodhouse (Worcester Avenue)
  • 210 Mansfield - Forest Town - Mansfield Woodhouse (Litton Road)
  • 217 Mansfield - Rannoch Drive

Newark and Sherwood

Due to the successful revision of contracted services in 2013 there are no further changes to the network in the Newark and Sherwood District.

Rushcliffe

Services 3.1 & 3.2 will be withdrawn. A revised network covering the Keyworth area will be introduced. New peak hour Services 831 and 832 provided by Nottinghamshire County Council will operate between Keyworth and Kinoulton, Hickling and Willoughby. At other times during the day a new Service 853 will serve Keyworth and Kinoulton with an extension to Cotgrave. An off peak Service 863 operated by Nottinghamshire County Council will operate between East Leake, Willoughby, Keyworth and Gamston.

Service 22 current route will be shared between other services. The Granby to Cropwell Bishop section will become part of the Rushcliffe Green network of services operated by Trent Barton providing frequent journeys to Bingham, Radcliffe on Trent and Nottingham. A separate service will operate between Cotgrave, Tollerton and Nottingham.

Service 50 will be withdrawn. New peak hour service 850 will operate between Colston Bassett and West Bridgford and operated by Nottinghamshire County Council. During off peak times Colston Bassett will be served by Service 853.

Service 55 will become part of the Rushcliffe Green network of services currently operated by Trent Barton, providing frequent journeys between Orston, Bingham and Nottingham. Journeys between Orston and Bottesford will only run at peak times.

Service 56A will be re numbered 856 and the route extended so as to include Bottesford and Lowdham. This services will be provided by Marshalls of Sutton on Trent.

Service 56B will be re numbered 857 and the route extended so as to include Bottesford. This service will be provided by Marshalls of Sutton on Trent.

Service 63 timetable and route will be completely revised and re-numbered 863. The route between East Leake and Queens Medical Centre will cease. This service will be operated by Nottinghamshire County Council.

Service 65 will be replaced by Service 865 covering much of the route currently served. However the new route will be curtailed at Clifton and will connect with the tram network when this is open. This service will be provided by Littles Transport.

  • 831 Keyworth - Willoughby - Wysall (peak service)
  • 832 Keyworth - Hickling - Kinoulton (peak service)

  • 863 East Leake - Wysall - Keyworth - Gamston (off peak)
  • 865 Normanton on Soar - Kegworth - East Midland Parkway - Clifton
  • Rushcliffe Green extended so as to serve Orston, Granby and Langar

Ashfield

Broxtowe
Service 110
will be replaced by new service 510.  During the off peak the service will extend from Attenborough to Beeston.
Service 111 will become part of the new 510 route. The frequency will become hourly and the route through Stapleford revised so as to provide a cross town facility. The revised route will also serve the new Toton Park and Ride site when open so as to afford connections with the tram.
Service 331 will be replaced by new service 531

Service 47 - The route and timetable will be revised so as to include those parts of Woodborough, Calverton and Oxton currently included on the service 5 route. Rushcliffe
Services 3.1 & 3.2
will be withdrawn.   A revised network   covering the Keyworth, area will be introduced. New peak hour services 831 and 832 provided by Nottinghamshire County Council will operate between Keyworth and Kinoulton, Hickling and Willoughby.    At other times during the day a new service 853 will serve Keyworth and Kinoulton with an extension to Cotgrave.  An off peak service 863 operated by Nottinghamshire County Council will operate between East Leake, Willoughby, Keyworth and Gamston.    
Service 22 - The current route will be shared between other services.
