Activities and resources

The activities and resources listed below are available free-of-charge, unless otherwise stated.

 

 

 

 

 

Road Safety Education Resources: 

Reception & Year 1  

  • Child Pedestrian Training– A practical session involving children and their parents/ guardian on a local walk.
  • Using your school crossing patrol - A short visit by the school crossing patrol that serves your school. This demonstration session aims to ensure children know how to cross safely. 

Years 1 to 5

  • Your Move – A giant floor mat game designed to test pupils road safety knowledge.  

Years 4 to 6

  • Pedal It! – A classroom based interactive session introducing cycle safety. 

Years 5 & 6

  • Speed Up Slow Down – A practical session involving vehicle braking distances and speed
  • Fact File – Pupils play the part of accident investigators to discover key road safety messages
  • Bikeability Training – National standard cycle training for children aged 9 and above. Visit our cycle training page for further information.

Resources for loan:

Reception & Year 1

  • Street Feet – A package involving  role play activities  

Years 1-5

  • Snakes & Ladders – A road safety version of the traditional board game. Children progress up the board  by answering  road safety questions
  • Safer Fitter Greener – A package of various interactive games & challenges 
  • Your Move – A table top version of our interactive resource to test pupils road safety knowledge.
