Book Nottsbus On Demand

Booking a journey with Nottsbus on Demand is easy, simply follow the instructions below.

  1. Download the Nottsbus on Demand mobile phone app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store and click ‘Get Started’ to register your details. You can also scan the QR Code on this page to download the app. You’ll also be asked to choose whether you want to pay for your journeys with a debit or credit card via the app, or with cash when you get on the bus. If you have a concessionary pass you can add this to your user profile under 'special settings' in the app and then select 'Pay on board/Concessionary pass' as your payment method. You can change these details or add a new payment method in the app at any time.
  2. When you’re ready to book a journey, simply open the app and select how many people will be travelling on the ‘passenger’ section. On the ‘schedule’ section select your preferred pick up or arrival time, as this will let you make an advance booking. If you need to reach your destination for a specific time, we recommend selecting 'arrive by' when making your booking. Our clever app will then work out your estimated departure time. If the ‘schedule’ section is not amended, it will search for the next available bus for your journey.
  3. Proceed to selecting your pick-up and drop off points and the app will work out the bus stops or designated points that are closest to the locations you have provided. These may be a short walk so make sure you check the locations in the app.
  4. To confirm a journey simply click ‘Book This Journey’. Then when it’s time, make your way to your pick-up point and wait for one of our friendly drivers to arrive to take you to your destination. You can even track the progress of your bus via the app.

Like all our buses, Nottsbus On Demand is fully accessible, with low floors and ramp access for wheelchair users, pushchairs and people with mobility difficulties.

If you are unable to book using the app, you can call us on 0115 804 0404. (Please note this phone line is only available between 8:30am and 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 4:30pm Friday, excluding bank holidays).

Please be patient during busy periods - if you need to reach your location at a certain time, please ensure you book early to take any delays into account. If the app states all seats are taken, please check back every 10 minutes for seats to become available.
