Ashfield District Council has recently rolled out free parking (for the first hour) for all of their car parks in Hucknall.

We and Ashfield District Council have been looking at possible sites for a new car park in Hucknall since the closure of the Station Road car park last year. A couple of sites have been identified.

Residents parking schemes

In order to ease parking pressures within Hucknall, while the new road is being constructed, we have merged a number of existing residential parking schemes.

The merged parking schemes allow residents with an existing parking permit to park in any of the following areas from Monday 11 December 2015:

  • Bolsover Street Scheme
  • Thoresby Dale Scheme
  • Titchfield Street Scheme (includes Albert Street and the Connery).

If you have an existing residents parking permit you do not need to apply for a new permit to park in the areas listed above.

If you do not currently have a permit, you can find out how to apply on our website.

Each permit costs £25. Free permits are available to permit holders who are 75 years of age or older or blue badge holders.
