Nottinghamshire County Council - Proud of our past, ambitious for our future

Summer reading challenge volunteers

28 March 2012

Our Summer Reading Challenge 2012 aims to get children aged 4-11 years old to read at least six books during their holidays.

We need volunteers to listen to the children talk about the books they've read and give out rewards for their success at reading.

You need to:

  • be aged over 14
  • able to spare 12-15 hours per week
  • enjoy meeting new people.

All volunteers can claim their travelling expenses and get a certificate acknowledging their support.

The Challenge runs from Saturday 14 July to Monday 10 September and will run at all libraries across Nottinghanmshire.

To apply you need to complete an application form by Monday 30 April.

For more information see our library volunteering webpage.
