Statement of Community Involvement

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out the County Council's approach to public consultation and involvement in the preparation of Minerals and Waste plans and in the determination of planning applications.

Nottinghamshire County Council originally adopted its Statement of Community Involvement in January 2007. Since then there have been a significant number of changes, such as the introduction of the National Planning Policy Framework, the Localism Act and a County Council reorganisation, which have made the original SCI out of date.

Following a review, including a period of consultation, the County Council's Policy Committee on 17th April 2013 approved the adoption of the Statement of Community Involvement - Review. This replaces the original SCI as County Council policy.
