New Minerals Local Plan
The first stage of consultation on the new Minerals Local Plan closed on 30 March 2012. We would like to thank everyone who responded to the consultation. If you would like to view the representations duly made you may do so by looking for responses to each question via the interactive Local Development Framework for Minerals Local Plan.
Current consultation – preferred approach
The representations received at the Issues and Options stage have been considered and where appropriate incorporated into a Preferred Approach. Based on the consultation responses and sustainability appraisal findings, the document sets out the most appropriate approach for meeting Nottinghamshire’s future minerals needs sustainably and making the best use of existing infrastructure.
We want to know what you think of our preferred approach for the Minerals Local Plan so that we can take account of any concerns before we write the draft Local Plan and submit it to Government for an independent examination.
Waste Core Strategy
Following several earlier stages of informal consultation, a draft version of the Waste Core Strategy, called the Proposed Submission Document, was published in March 2012 for formal representations. Following this consultation, and in response to changes in national planning policy, the Councils then consulted on a number of changes to the strategy - published as a separate Schedule of Proposed Changes in October 2012.
The Waste Core Strategy, Schedule of Proposed Changes and all of the representations received were submitted to Government on 14 January 2013 for independent examination by a planning inspector. Details of submission and the examination process can be found on our separate Waste Core Strategy Examination page.
Public hearing sessions were held between 8 and 17 May 2013 and the Councils are consulting on the three main modifications to the Strategy between 24 June and 22 July 2013. You can view the changes and make comments here.
