The Budget Conversation 2012/13

The budget for 2012/13 was approved at the Full Council meeting on 23 February, with 45 votes for, 15 against and 3 abstensions. View the Budget and Capital Programme Proposals 2012/13 to 2015/16 [PDF] which were approved.

Budget Consultation

We consulted in order to highlight the savings needed to reinvest in front line services and in light of the reductions the government intends to make to funding available to all local authorities. This included asking for comments in our Budget Conversation, and letting us have your views on our budget proposals for 2012/13.

All your views were collated and taken into account and fed through to the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday 8 February 2012, where it was unanimously agreed that the proposals would go forward to the Full Council meeting on 23 February 2012.
