Here you can find out about how you can make a difference to your county. There are lots of opportunities available, so no matter who you are, where you live, or how much time can give, there's an opportunity for you. There are opportunities for young people and children as well as adults.
We value the views of local people. We provide important services to residents, visitors, employers and employees in the county and we're always looking for ways to improve them. As a council, we need to know that the decisions we make take into account the views of the people of Nottinghamshire, which is why we're interested in hearing your views about what we do. Your comments and suggestions help us to improve our services.
You can get involved in a variety of ways:
Customer satisfaction surveys
We regularly undertake customer satisfaction surveys across our service areas using a variety of methods. Customer satisfaction surveys are an important way of capturing local people's views, experiences and perceptions about how well we, and our partners, are doing at delivering services and to decide what needs doing differently in the future to make sure residents feel happier, healthier and safer. We use several methods to carry out these surveys:
Citizens' Panel
The Nottinghamshire citizens' panel is Nottinghamshire’s biggest think-tank, a valuable resource consisting of a representative group of local people willing to lend their views about a variety of issues for the good of their community.
Residents Survey 2012
In October 2012, the County Council and its partners undertook the first in a series of comprehensive annual surveys intended to find out more about the views of Nottinghamshire residents.
