Councillor Pauline Allan is the Chairman of Nottinghamshire County Council. As Chairman, Pauline is the civic head of the County, representing Nottinghamshire at local and national events.

An active campaigner on behalf of her constituents, Pauline has set up a film club for the Bonington Theatre in Arnold which boasts over 200 members. Pauline has also organised two Gedling Women’s Days and puts the needs of older people first, highlighted by her commitment to organise afternoon tea days with a group who visit care homes and sing to the residents. She is also closely involved with two local lunch clubs and the Gedling Play Forum.

Chairman’s Charity 2014/15: The Ear Foundation
Councillor Pauline Allan, the Chairman of the County Council, is supporting The Ear Foundation which supports children and adults, those born deaf and those deafened, by bridging the gap between clinics where hearing devices are fitted and the local community where they are used in everyday life.
The Ear Foundation has launched the SoundSpace Appeal to raise £700,000 to provide a new purpose built centre to bring the Foundation’s core services under one roof:
