Emergencies

What to do in an emergency

Examples of emergencies include:

• you suspect a child is being abused
• you suspect a vulnerable adult is being abused
• you come across someone who seems to be having a mental health crisis
• your home care worker has not arrived and you need help to get into bed.

If you are experiencing one of these emergencies or something similar, contact your local office during office hours (8.30am - 5.00pm) or, if it is between 5.00pm and 8.30am or a weekend/bank holiday, please phone our Emergency Duty Team on tel: (0115) 844 7333.
