Schools in Nottinghamshire currently collectively spend around £10million per year on heating and powering their sites. This energy use results in around 65,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide being emitted into the atmosphere.
Unlike some other aspects of a school’s budget, energy costs can be controlled to some extent, largely by finding ways to reduce demand and by becoming more energy efficient.
We provide a comprehensive energy management service to schools, working to reduce the cost of energy, cut carbon emissions and ensure compliance with energy-related legislation.
Our service includes:
"We are so pleased to have got solar panels and the Green Flag award very close together. They mark a new and exciting year for Greenwood pupils, staff and E Team members. Thank you for your help and advice."
Shelley Hickton, Greenwood Primary School.
This service helps to protect your school against increasing energy costs and provides opportunities to engage and involve students and staff in energy saving. Energy-saving measures can also bring additional benefits such as upgraded ICT, enhanced user comfort, improved heating controls and reduced maintenance costs.
Energy supplied through our contracts is subject to a small percentage mark-up. Schools pay for the provision of Display Energy Certificates (and associated Advisory Reports when due). In addition, a small management fee is charged against the provision of loans for energy efficiency measures; otherwise what we offer is free.
