RouteXchange

Find walks in Nottinghamshire online.

Search the forum for walk routes near you, or at your favourite destinations in the county. Build a community resource by submitting your favourite walks for others to try.

On your merry way

The new, fully searchable, Routes Forum includes easy to follow route descriptions, downloadable Ordnance Survey maps for each route and lots of photos to help you navigate. See a sample: Bishops walkabout

Accessibility

We’re paying particular attention to describing routes as fully as possible so you can decide, before you set out, if a route is suitable for you. We hope to include photos of stiles, gates, inclines and benches along the route too.

Tried and tested

You can leave comments and reviews online for walks you’ve tried out. Are they good for dogs, kids, wheelchairs or buggies? Is there a good time to visit (are there bluebells in the spring?), or a bad time (is it muddy after the rain?).

Where do you go?

Share your favourite walks with the world! All too often people bypass the gems Nottinghamshire has to offer. Now’s your chance to show how great our county is.

Each new route will be checked by the County Council before it can go online. Unfortunately there will be walks we can’t promote for safety reasons, but we’ll always let you know if and why your walk can’t be used. Keep these guidelines in mind when submitting routes, which should mean as many walks as possible can go onto the forum.
