St Mary the Virgin, Main Street (East Side), West Stockwith, DN10 4EX. Dedication: 'The Great War 1914-1919. This tablet is placed in this church by the congregation in grateful memory of the following who made the great sacrifice (names). Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15.13 (names)' There are 20 names on the tablet, 16 of whom are also named on a board which was placed in the church in 1922 to commemorate the parishioners who had died in the war.
