Albert was born at Misterton in 1899 the son of William and Sarah Ann Mason (nee Cammack) once again coming from a large family with 8 siblings Alice 1885, John 1887, Charlotte 1888, Thomas 1890 ,Charles Cammack 1896, Herbert 1898, Arther Ernest 1904, Ada Ann 1905 the family lived at Haxey Road,Misterton
Before enlisting he was working on his fathers farm at Misterton

Albert enlisted into the Army at East Retford in March 1916 and finally went to the front in March 1918 .Six moths later on 29/09/18 he was killed in action His name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot memorial in the Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium
