Person Details
Fred was born at Misterton in 1880, he was the son of Henry and Sarah Kitching (nee Barthorpe). His father was a brick maker. He had two elder brothers George born 1872 and William born 1875.
He was employed as a brickyard labourer at Mr George Coopers brickyard in Misterton

Note ;- the commonwealth war graves web site refer to him as Fred Kitchen He enlisted into the Army at East Retford in January 1915 and eventually went on the ill fated campaign to Gallipoli where he was killed in action. He is buried in the Azmak Cemetery at Sulva, Gallipoli, Turkey.
