He was the son of William and Kate Pollard and the brother of Arthur Wright, Edith Annie and Kate May Pollard. In 1911 they lived at 13 The Pastures Stapleford Nottinghamshire and later at 'The Nook' New Stapleford.
In 1911 he was an errand boy.
