Bramcote Nottinghamshire
He was the son of Tom and Rebecca Hogg and the brother of Henry, Joseph, Tom, Eliza, Violet, Lizzie, Charlotte and Florry Hogg. In 1901 they lived at 17 Chapel Street Bramcote and in 1911 at 12 Horace Avenue Stapleford (both Nottinghamshire).
In 1911 he was a colliery horse driver.
