Rfn. John Sanders, 8th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, died of wounds on 7th August 1917. He is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial
In memoriam published 7th August 1918 in the Nottingham Evening Post :- “SANDERS. – In loving memory of my dear husband, Rifleman Jack Sanders, late 36, Oldknow-street, who died of wounds received in action August 7th, 1917.
