Albert George Abbott, known as George, was born in the 3rd Quarter of 1883 to Joseph and Drusilla Abbott who lived at 8 Radford Road, Nottingham. Joseph was a chemist in 1881. In 1901 Joseph was retired and living with his son and daughter in law on Pelham Road, Nottingham. George was the husband of Harriett Mary (née Ware) Abbott (married 27/9/1904 at Tynemouth Catholic Church). He was the father of Drusilla, Benjamin and Alice Abbott. In 1911 they lived at 5 Upper Cross Street Tynemouth.
He was of independent means in 1911.
