Charles (Charley) was the only son of John Peach and Gertrude Peach (nee Tipton) who had married in Nottingham in 1893. They had two children, Charles and Lilian Charlotte. Another nephew, Albert (13), a butcher's errand boy, was also living in the household. In 1901 after his marriage, John and his wife were living at 32 Peas Hill Rise with their two children, Charles (6) and Lilian Charlotte (11 months). However, by 1911 the family was living at 46 St Bartholomew Road, St Ann's, and this was their address when Charles died in 1916. His parents later lived at 124 Standhill Road, Carlton. His sister, Lilian married Harold Thomas Ward in 1922. Charles' mother, Gertrude, died on 6 June 1953 aged 81 and his father, John, on 24 April 1959 aged 89.
