He was the son of A C Nash of 48 Dame Agnes Street Nottingham. He was the husband of Beatrice Alice (née Boulter) Nash of 207 Mansfield Road Nottingham. Known as 'Dick' (obit).

Pte. Nash enlisted in the North Staffordshire Regiment, No. 53108 before volunteering for the Tank Corps, where he was placed with 'F' Battalion. His tank was knocked out during the Battle of Cambriai and he died of wounds. He was buried at St. Aubert British Cemetery (V. A. 20.)
