He was the son of George and Mary Ann Wilcox and the brother of Christine Amelia, Raymond Arthur, John and Kathleen Emily Wilcox. In 1911 they lived at Hill House Staker Burgage Southwell Nottinghamshire.

1/8th Bn Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby Regiment)
Corporal Frank Wilcox, served with the 1/8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire) Regiment, he was killed in action on 15th June 1915 when the German's exploded a mine beneath his postion followed by a raid on their position. He is buried in Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. D.71
