He was the husband of Mary Ann Oakley and the father of Florence Ellen, Ivy, Evelyn Mabel, Beatrice May, Hetty Agnes and Ethel Lottie Oakley. In 1911 they lived at 33 Pine Street and later at 53 Citadel Street (both Radford Nottingham).
He was a lace threader.
