He was the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Pinkett and the brother of Gertrude Pinkett. In 1911 they lived at 22 Chelmsford Road Nottingham.
In 1911 he waqs a hosiery trimmer.

Private Fred Pinkett, served with the 1st Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment, died of wounds on 28th November 1917. He is buried in Etaples Military Cemetery.
