Pte Arthur Adlard enlisted in Nottingham and served with the 1st battalion Lincolnshire Regiment. He joined the British Expeditionary Force in France on 13th August 1914. He was killed in action on 12th November 1914. He has no known grave , his name is commemorated on the Menin Gate memorial, Ypres, Belgium
