Wife: Florence Kate, nee Nuell, married 15/11/1915. No children. Florence was from Kidderminister, and lived at 27 York Street, Kidderminister after the war. When Thomas was discharged from the army in April 1914 he stated his place of residence was to be 190 Warsop Vale, Mansfield. His brother Sandy lived at this address in 1911, so persumably Sandy helped Thomas to get a job at the local colliery when he left the army.

Enlisted 01/06/1905 aged 22 years and 5 months. Served in India. Transferred to the reserves on 04/04/1914 but recalled to the colours once war was declared. Promoted to corporal on 30/06/1915 and to sergeant on 03/10/1915.
