Edward Yeadon Wadeson was the son of the Reverend Edward Gustavus Wadeson and Margaret Elizabeth Yeadon (died aged 50 1914). They had married at West Kirby Cheshire in 1888 and three years later, were living at the Vicarage at Thornton le Street Yorkshire. They had two children whilst they were resident here Winifred who was born in 1893 and Edward Yeadon Wadeson born in 1895. By 1901 the family had moved to The Vicarage Boston Spa Yorksire Edward senior being the local vicar.
He was admitted to Worksop College in 1908 and later educated at Selwyn College Cambridge.

3rd Bn The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment
Supplement to the London Gazette 23 December 1915: The under mentioned Cadets and Ex Cadets of the Officer Training Corps to be Second Lieutenants (on probation). Dated 24th December 1915. Edward Yeadon Wadeson, North Lancashire Regiment. He went to France and was in the 3rd Battalion attached to the 10th Battalion of the North Lancs. He was killed in action and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
