They lived at 31 Bombay Street, Nottingham before moving to 16a Peas Hill Road, Nottingham.

111th Coy Machine Gun Corps
Pte. Proctor volunteered for service and trained with the Sherwood Foresters, No. 4234, and was drafted to France 04/01/1915. He later joined the Machine Gun Corps, and was involved in fighting during the Battle of Arras. He died of wounds on 24/04/1917 and was buried at Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension.
Nottingham Post notice (abridged), 1 May 1917: 'Proctor. Died of wounds, Private C Proctor, Machine Gun Corps, age 23, late of 33 Bombay Street, second son of Annie and (-) Proctor. Mother, father, sisters, brothers. Wife Lily of 8 Bombay Street.' Nottingham Post notice (abridged), 17 May 1917: 'Private CE Proctor MGC, 8 Bombay Street, Nottingham, died of wounds 24 April, six years service.'
