Jas Hundal is Service Director for the Transport, Property and Environment division.
There are two Property groups:
Group one
Property which encompasses:
- strategy and development
- estates and valuations
- commissioning and procurement
- statutory compliance.
Their responsibilities include:
- Acting as the owner of the Council's Property and ensuring that it is developed and managed to meet the service outcomes specified by the relevant service department or corporate objective
- Holding all data relating to property
- Liaison with the Service Departments
- Development and management of the planned maintenance programme
- Project feasibility and programme management of scheme delivery
- Providing a range of multi-disciplinary customer focused estate management functions across the Authority including both Council Departments and Local Schools manager's through options for choice
- Undertaking site condition surveys (including asbestos surveys, gas servicing, electrical testing and Legionella).
Group two
Design and maintenance operations
Their responsibilities include:
- Delivering the Capital Building Programme. Leading in the development of Building Design and Construction Policies to enable the delivery of well designed, effective buildings
- Providing a 24/7 maintenance service for buildings within the County Council property portfolio
- Professional and Technical advice to clients regarding DDA projects, site refurbishment and maintenance issues
- Undertaking design and build projects.
