Parking policy

The County Council’s ‘Parking Provision for New Developments’ document has been adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance and is therefore applicable to all new developments within the County.  The guidance is supplementary to parking policy outlined in the Nottinghamshire and Nottingham Draft Joint Structure Plan (2004).

This guidance has been updated in response to the publication of Regional Planning Guidance for the East Midlands (RPG8), Planning Policy Guidance 13 (Transport) and 3 (Housing).  It was prepared in consultation with district councils, town and parish councils, representatives of the development industry, cycling organisations and other interested parties.
