Safeguarding Children Board's (SCB) are the key statutory strategic mechanism for monitoring and co-ordinating the work of agencies in safeguarding children.

If you have any concerns about the safety of a child please contact someone. Your concerns will be taken seriously and in confidence.

We work across many different aspects of safeguarding children including:

  • Child protection procedures – guidelines for how local statutory and voluntary organisations should work together to safeguard children and young people and promote their welfare
  • Practice guidance – to assist in responding to specific needs of children and families
  • Training – to enable participants to keep the welfare of children at the centre of their work
  • Useful resources – links to important documents, legislation and useful websites
  • What’s new? – find out about the latest developments, projects and events in your area. You can also contribute your own information and ideas.
