Children and Young People's Plan
The Children and Young People Plan 2007–2009 sets out the vision and collective priorities of the Nottinghamshire Children and Young People’s Partnership for 2007-2009 and how we intend to achieve them.
It has been developed by all those contributing to services for children and young people across Nottinghamshire in consultation with children, young people, parents and carers.
We aim to respond to local needs and improve outcomes for the children and young people of Nottinghamshire. We will do this by providing services which will enable children and young people to:
- Be Healthy: enjoying good physical, sexual and emotional health, through living a healthy life style
- Stay Safe: protected from harm, neglect, bullying, serious accidental injury and crime
- Enjoy and Achieve: academically and socially, through play, leisure and recreation, as well as within school
- Make a Positive Contribution: to the community and society, developing self-confidence and being engaged in decision making
- Achieve Economic Wellbeing: taking up employment, training or further education opportunities.
The publication of a Children and Young People Plan is a legal requirement for all Local Authorities together with their partners under the Children Act 2004.
