A Community RePaint Nottinghamshire scheme operates at Beeston, Calverton, Newark and Warsop Household Waste Recycling Centres. Unwanted tins of paint are sorted here and tins that contain paint that is in good condition are stored separately and given away for free to community groups and occasionally to members of the public.

Paint tins that are empty or contain only dried up paint residues can be put in your waste wheeled bin or taken to any HWRC.

Please note: a permit system is in operation for household waste taken to HWRCs in a van, pick-up, car-towed trailer or sign written vehicle. However, you will not be allowed to dispose of waste that is connected to your sign written vehicle even if it is your own household waste e.g. paint from a sign written vehicle advertising painting and decorating services.
