If you are treating yourself to a new purchase for your home, have you considered what you’ll do with your old item? If you’re interested in helping people in Nottinghamshire and in helping the environment too, then why not donate your old household items to a local reuse group.
Reuse groups, which include charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations, will collect your unwanted reusable household items for free.
They will then redistribute them to people in the county who are experiencing financial hardship or resell the items to raise funds for other community based projects. Either way, this not only benefits local people but also benefits the environment by preventing furniture or other household items from ending up in landfill sites.
