The HWRCs are open to householders to dispose of their own household and green garden rubbish.
These sites DO NOT accept asbestos, car tyres, trade, commercial or industrial waste. We are not licensed to do so and will be breaking the law if we accept them.
Facilities exist at this centre for the recycling of:
- Glass
- Paper and cardboard
- Plastic bottles
- Textiles
- Metals (including steel and aluminium cans)
- Engine oil
- Car batteries
- Cooking oil
- Paint - Community RePaint Scheme
- Green waste - this is processed to produce a compost soil conditioner called Pro Gro, which is available to purchase at all sites.
Please ask for help at the site if you’re uncertain what to do or you need help to lift or carry your waste.
You may find sites less busy on weekdays. Old fridges, washing machines and furniture as well as the items listed above can all be taken to the site.
