The service works with most modern internet-equipped computers. However, for the best results you should use:
- a broadband connection - dial-up should not be used
- a PC running Windows 2000 or later and Internet Explorer version 6.0
Use of other web browsers or other computer systems, e.g. Apple Macs or LINUX, is not recommended though some applications may be found to work on these.
Please note that the service is connected for one hour at a time and will automatically require you to log-in again with your user-id and a new 8 digit number generated from your secure token to establish a further one hour session. If you are logged into iNotes and fail to re-log in within a short period of time you will be locked out of the service and will have to contact the Service Desk before you can use the service again. We therefore strongly advise that you log out of iNotes if you leave your machine.
Service Desk support is available during normal working hours: between 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and between 8am and 4.30pm Friday except public holidays.
