Flotilla to mark Royal British Legion 2012 Poppy Appeal

The sale of the county's first poppy will be marked by a special occasion this Saturday 20 October, at County Hall.

A flotilla of boats will be led by the county's top sea cadet, who will sell the first poppy to the Chairman of the County Council, Coun Carol Pepper and the Lord Lieutenant, Sir John Peace.

Employees are very welcome to attend the event at 10.30am outside the Civic Office, buy a poppy and hear the Rolls Royce Band playing. The County Hall car parks will be open as usual.
