Beware of buying health products from cold call companies

User AvatarPosted by Tessa Coates at 13/11/2014 10:21:01

Reports have been received from Nottinghamshire residents being cold called by companies selling multivitamins as part of “Nottinghamshire Health Month.’

Trading Standards are not aware of Nottinghamshire Health Month and would advise people not to purchase health products following cold calls.  We would also advise that for many contracts made over the phone or in or in your home, you may have a right to cancel within a period of time and the trader should provide you with details of your rights and how to cancel.  If you have purchased goods in this way and are unsure as to your rights, please call Citizens Advice Consumer Service on 03454 04 05 06 for further advice.
