Trading Standards alcohol testing

Trading Standards officers play an important role in regulating product safety.

We achieve this by:

inspecting, sampling and testing consumer products
seizing and destroying unsafe products
prosecuting the most serious offenders.

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills have produced guidance on general product safety entitled 'The General Product Safety Regulations 2005 - Guidance for businesses, consumers and enforcement authorities' which can be viewed on their website at: www.bis.gov.uk/files/file22713.pdf
