Trading Standards food hygiene

There is dual responsibility for the enforcement of food legislation within the UK. In Nottinghamshire, Trading Standards are responsible for permitted ingredients, food labelling and quality, while the Environmental Health section of the district councils ensure that food businesses prepare and sell food hygienically. The authorities work together to ensure that food premises comply with the law. You can contact your district council for more information.
